Inside Sal's Haircutting — vintage red barber chair

Lake Hiawatha · NJ · Since 1972

The finest
old‑school
haircut in town.

Family-owned clippers, scissors, and good conversation. Walk in, sit down, and leave looking sharp — for fifteen bucks.

Our Story

A neighborhood barbershop, the way it ought to be.

Sal opened the doors on North Beverwyck Road in 1972 with a single chair, a straight razor, and a promise: a fair cut at a fair price, every time. Fifty-plus years later, that promise still hangs above the door.

We're a family-style shop — fathers bring sons, sons bring grandsons, and most of our regulars have been sitting in the same chair longer than they've been driving. No appointment, no fuss, no markup.

Cash only. Pull up a chair.
